Greek fest to host Iran-Afghan ‘Elephantbird’

Iranian-Afghan short film ‘Elephantbird’ has been slated to attend Photometria International Photography fest in Greece.

Directed by Amir-Masoud Soheili, the 16-minute flick will be in contention at the Short Films competition section of the 12th edition of the Greek film event.

“The last wish of an old Afghan man is to give his elephant-bird (Turkey) to his grandchild, but this simple wanting is hard to realize’, reads a brief synopsis for the flick.

The short has already attended a number of international events, including the Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh, the Marcellus Mini Movie Family Film Festival in the US and the Brno 16 International Short Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

The Photomeria International Photography Festival is originally aiming at addressing anyone who loves photography. On the side, the event runs an Animation/video art/ short films competition program.

This year edition of the event is slated for June 1-5, 2020.
